Where to buy furniture in Dubai on any budget

For a tight budget, start with IKEA UAE and Homes r Us, then Home Centre and Danube Home. 2XL Home and THE One cover the middle, and Marina Home the premium end. Compare more than the price tag: delivery fees, assembly and return windows differ by store, and most will not take furniture back once it is assembled.

Dubai has furniture stores at every price level, and the main ones all sell online with delivery across the city. What changes your final total is often in the small print. Free delivery starts anywhere from AED 300 to AED 999, some stores assemble for free while others charge, and change-of-mind returns run from none at all on furniture to 90 days.

The tables below come from each store's own delivery and returns pages, read on 12 October 2026. Terms change, so treat checkout as the final word for your address.

Which stores suit which budget?

Start with IKEA UAE and Homes r Us for low-cost basics, add Home Centre and Danube Home for budget to mid-range pieces, look at 2XL Home and THE One for mid-range sofas, beds and dining sets, and go to Marina Home, Chattels & More, Loom Collection or Fatio for premium pieces. That is how HomePrint groups the stores it sources from, and most homes end up mixing levels.

Two of HomePrint's design packs show the gap. The coastal two-bedroom plan took all 57 of its lines from IKEA UAE: AED 25,058.15 of products when priced on 30 September and 1 October 2026. The Scandinavian one-bedroom plan took 30 of its 43 lines, AED 49,520 of AED 54,568.97, from 2XL Home. Their main pieces, rechecked on the store pages on 12 October 2026:

Piece Coastal two-bedroom plan (IKEA UAE) Scandinavian one-bedroom plan (mostly 2XL Home)
Three-seat sofa SÖDERHAMN 3-seat section, AED 1,895 Reverie 3-seater, AED 7,399 (shown as 20% off AED 9,295)
Main bed frame TARVA, 160 x 200 cm, AED 745 Terra king, 180 x 200 cm, AED 3,170 (shown as 21% off AED 3,995)
Main mattress VATNESTRÖM, 160 x 200 cm, AED 3,395 VESTERÖY, 180 x 200 cm from IKEA UAE, AED 995

The 2XL sofa costs about four times the IKEA one, and so does the 2XL king bed against the smaller TARVA. The mattress runs the other way: the coastal plan's IKEA mattress cost more than its sofa, while the premium plan saved with a AED 995 mattress, also from IKEA. So pick the store piece by piece. One plan can buy its sofa at one shop and its mattress at another.

2XL Home shows most prices as a discount from a crossed-out figure, and the discounted price moves. The Harbor six-seater dining table in the same one-bedroom plan was AED 3,299 on 30 September and AED 2,499 on 12 October. Check the price on the day you order and compare it with similar pieces at other stores, rather than with the crossed-out figure.

What do delivery and assembly cost at each store?

Most Dubai stores deliver furniture free above a threshold between AED 300 and AED 999, while IKEA UAE charges AED 45 on every online furniture order. Assembly is free at 2XL Home and THE One, free on Danube Home's own items, and paid at IKEA UAE.

Store Furniture delivery in Dubai Assembly Timing on the store's page
IKEA UAE AED 45 online; accessories AED 10, free above AED 250 AED 99 assembly only, AED 144 delivery with assembly (online) Same day in Dubai if ordered online before noon, while slots last; next-day delivery with assembly for AED 350 if ordered online before 2 pm
Home Centre Free above AED 999; AED 100 below Done by the delivery team at your address You choose a date at checkout; 2-day express for AED 250

Homes r Us Confirm at checkout: its delivery page lists two different furniture charges Free on orders above AED 1,000 5 to 7 working days within city limits
Marina Home Express delivery free above AED 300; AED 30 below Not stated on its FAQ page 3 business days from dispatch

Outside Dubai the fees change. Danube Home, for example, charges AED 100 below AED 750 for Ajman and Al Ain. The Sharjah service page and the matching pages for Abu Dhabi and Ajman list each store's terms there.

Can you return furniture that does not fit?

Often not once it has been assembled, so make sure a piece fits before the crew builds it. Return windows for a change of mind, from the stores' returns pages on 12 October 2026:

Store Change-of-mind window Main conditions
IKEA UAE 90 days, or 120 for IKEA Family members Unopened, with receipt and original packaging; assembled items and opened sofas excluded
Home Centre 14 days from delivery (online orders) Original packaging; nothing assembled or installed unless faulty; furniture returns go through customer support
Danube Home 14 days from delivery Original packaging, not installed or used; the original delivery charge is kept
2XL Home No returns on furniture Other items within 14 days, refunded as e-wallet credit; report damage within 24 hours of delivery
THE One 10 days from delivery or collection Resalable, in original packaging; assembled items excluded; AED 100 to collect furniture within Dubai city limits
Homes r Us 14 days from delivery Unused, in original packaging
Marina Home 7 days from delivery Unused, in the original box; assembled or installed products excluded

Five of the seven refuse change-of-mind returns on furniture that has been assembled or installed. 2XL Home takes no change-of-mind returns on furniture, and Homes r Us needs the item unused in its packaging. Where a return is accepted, Danube Home and THE One keep the delivery charge, and THE One adds its collection fee. Faulty or damaged items follow each store's separate rules.

A long return window helps most with items you keep boxed. For a sofa, bed or wardrobe, measure the room, the final position and the route through the building before you pay.

How do you keep delivery fees down across several stores?

Put each store's pieces into one order that clears its free-delivery threshold, and send small top-up orders to the stores with the lowest threshold. At each store's published Dubai rates on 12 October 2026, one AED 450 furniture order would cost this much to deliver:

Store Delivery on an AED 450 furniture order
IKEA UAE AED 45, or AED 144 with assembly
Home Centre AED 100
Danube Home Free
2XL Home AED 35, assembly included
THE One Free, assembly included
Marina Home Free express delivery

The same logic works within a store. At Home Centre, two pieces ordered together for AED 1,000 travel free, while either one ordered alone below AED 999 pays AED 100. At 2XL Home, the free delivery from AED 500 applies to card payments.

Are Dragon Mart and secondhand worth considering?

Yes, for particular pieces. Dragon Mart in International City has furniture, lighting, rug and curtain shops, plus workshops that make sofas and upholstery to measure. Most of its shops have no website or online prices, and each shop arranges its own delivery. For a made-to-measure piece, bring a reference photo and your exact sizes, and get the price, fabric, lead time and deposit terms in writing from two workshops before you pay.

Dubizzle suits statement pieces you can inspect in person, such as a sideboard, a mirror, a lamp or framed art. HomePrint plans use secondhand only for pieces like these and keep beds, sofas, dining tables and everyday seating new. A private sale has no store return window, so measure before you collect.

What should you check before you order?

Check fit first, then the exact product, the delivery date and building access. Work through them in this order:

  1. Measure the room, the spot the piece will stand in and the route from the lobby, including the lift and every turn. The apartment measurements checklist lists each number to take.
  2. Open the single product page and confirm the size, colour and orientation. A left-hand corner sofa in your plan and a right-hand one in the cart can share a name. The guide to buying furniture online that fits covers the full check.
  3. Read the delivery date at checkout for your address. The policy page gives the rule; checkout gives your slot.
  4. Book the service lift and a delivery window with building management before the slot.
  5. Order the slowest anchor piece first and note a backup for each anchor in case stock runs out.
  6. Decide before delivery day whether the crew should assemble the piece, knowing that most stores treat assembled furniture as non-returnable.

A HomePrint Design Pack does this planning for a whole home. It places every piece on your floor plan at its real size, picks products from stores that deliver to your address, and gives you direct links, backups and a budget table. You order and pay each store yourself.

Frequently asked questions

Which is the cheapest place to buy furniture in Dubai?

It depends on the piece. IKEA UAE and Homes r Us are the usual starting points for low-cost basics, followed by Home Centre and Danube Home, which run from budget to mid-range. Compare the same size and material, then add delivery and assembly: on a small order, an AED 100 delivery charge or a paid assembly can cancel out a lower price.

Which furniture stores in Dubai assemble for free?

As of 12 October 2026, 2XL Home includes delivery and assembly on orders from AED 500, THE One assembles every order except lighting and wall-mounted pieces, Danube Home installs its own items free, and Homes r Us assembles orders above AED 1,000. IKEA UAE charges AED 99 for assembly, or AED 144 for delivery with assembly, on online orders.

Can I return furniture in Dubai after it has been assembled?

Usually not for a change of mind. IKEA UAE, Home Centre, Danube Home, THE One and Marina Home exclude assembled or installed items from change-of-mind returns, and 2XL Home does not take furniture returns at all. Faulty items follow separate rules. Measure the room and the delivery route before you order, because the return window rarely covers a piece that has been built.

How long does furniture delivery take in Dubai?

In-stock furniture usually arrives within a week. IKEA UAE offers same-day delivery in Dubai on online orders placed before noon while slots last, Danube Home quotes 3 to 5 working days and 2XL Home 5 to 7. Home Centre lets you pick a date at checkout. Pieces from other sellers on Danube Home can take up to 15 working days, so order the slowest piece first.

Does HomePrint sell furniture or take commission from these stores?

No. HomePrint is a design-only service and takes no commission from retailers. A Design Pack picks products from stores that deliver to your address, with direct links, backups and a budget table, and you order and pay each store yourself. The design fee stays separate from the furniture budget, so you can see what each part costs.
